to get to including the obama care website up and running a lot better than it used to be. first stretches of new york's commuter rail line are closed this morning after a deadly train crash over the weekend. four people were killed. more than 60 injured. 11 in critical condition. early morning metro north commuter train traveling south from poughkeepsie to grand central station derailed in the bronx. 100 people were on the seven cars which came to a violent stop just short of a nearby river. the train was only about 12 miles away from its destination and many were dozing off when the cars tumbled off tracks. tom costello joins us live from the scene. is there any indication about the issue of speed playing a role in the crash? >> reporter: that's the big question this morning, mika, because most of the passengers who were on said this train of traveling at a very high clip and the governor said he thinks speed was a factor and the engineer has told several people he tried to apply the brakes but they didn't work. that's the train behind me. there are four cars there. you can see

of obama care. hishe gentle man knows, constituents as well as mine are faced with higher premiums. he has said to the american people they can keep their health care laws if they would like -- health care plans if they would like to. they have to figure out what kinds of plants are actually there for them. the administration claims the website is working just fine. we know the backend of that website is not working just fine. i am glad people are able to get on and see what is there. we don't really know how successful the sign-ups and enrollments are being. areo know most individuals facing higher premiums. those that have had to give up the plan are facing higher premiums and plants they don't necessarily choose, that they are forced to have because of the operation of this law. we need to focus on this issue. we voted on the alternative back in 2009. there was a planned the congressional budget office said ford reduce premium patients out there. we have not resolved this issue of health care. there is a better way. we ought to spend time focusing on how we are going to resolve that for

is that comes down to politics. when president obama was elected, congress started working on the health-care bill that ended up being the affordable care act. they ruled out single-payer from the beginning. no one really put a lot of muscle behind it in congress. among other things, it is fairly obvious to point out that the health-insurance industry is a big powerful industry and they have a lot of employees. to do something like single- payer would disrupt all of that. not to mention, i have been thinking about this since the furor a month ago with plans getting canceled. at least a few million people who got the letters from the insurance companies that they could not keep their insurance from this year into next year and everybody freaked out -- if you did single-payer, literally everybody would get a letter like that. if i were a member of congress i would look at it as 2 million levels -- 2 million letters, and i would wonder what it would be like if it was 170 million or more. our intermediaries in the form of insurance companies, that may add some cost to the equation. one thing that
